Drive For A Child

Register for Drive for a Child 2018

In 2016, Trillium CNG joined its sister company Musket Corporation in raising funds for their annual golf charity event Drive for a Child, benefitting Texas Children’s Hospital, a member of the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals. Since its inception in 2013, DFAC has raised over $1 Million for the hospital.

"When we started this event five years ago, we hoped it would become a successful fundraiser, but I don't think we realized how quickly it would progress," said JP Fjeld-Hansen, Vice President of Musket. "We're happy it's become an event our Customers and vendors look forward to and support year after year. Texas Children's benefits through the dollars raised, and our sponsors benefit because it's a great networking experience."

The money raised is all to help kids like Jhett, an 11-year-old Texas Children's Hospital patient who was born with cardiomyopathy, a chronic heart disease. He must be within one hour of the hospital in order to receive a heart transplant, so he and his father live in Houston while the rest of Jhett’s family lives at their home in Oklahoma.

Jhett was Musket and Trillium’s “Miracle Child” in 2016, and was invited to attend the event at Topgolf and speak to sponsors along with his dad. An avid golfer, Jhett was more than happy to accept.

"With Texas Children's, Jhett's had the same doctor, the same staff the whole time. They're just a really A+ group," said Jhett's father, Brian Skaggs. "It's just greatly appreciated because there are so many families just like us that aren't necessarily from Houston that need the services of the hospital. There's people from China, Dubai, and they all come here for a reason -- because it's the best place around."

Since 2016 Trillium’s Marketing Specialist, Ashley Duplechien, has served as DFAC event organizer and is aided by a team of selfless volunteers from both Musket Corporation and Trillium. The 2018 event is set for May 4th. If you are interested in sponsoring Drive for a Child, please reach out to Ashley at
